Here's what our Service Users have to say about us......
Mr Billy Lawrence
"I was diagnosed with a rare form of Tuberculosis Meningitis and spent a year and four months in Hospital. I entered back into the General Society on crutches and I didn't have any kind of Care in place at that point in time. Six months later I was having pain in my back and was sent for an MRI scan and was diagnosed with a condition called Syringomyelia. I had an operation that unfortunately failed and left me in hospital for a year. I entered back into the general population in a wheelchair.........It was then that I had no choice but to accept Care. I was disappointed from the start that the way the Care was advertised, was not the way it was being distributed. I continued for a year and I eventually changed to another Care Agency, they were no better and possibly worse. I would wake up and wonder what state I would be in at the end of the day because, my life wasn't being filled with contentment, but made quite uncomfortable. I tried another Agency but it didn't seem to get any better. I then joined Right Trust Care, I have been with them for a year now and have no complaints.......none. I find the staff are trained to listen rather than speak down to the user, and the Care is consistent every day. Every member of staff seems to have the same attitude towards Care and Life, and my Life has improved greatly. I now find I wake up and I don't worry about how the day is going to treat me, and at the end of it, I know i'm in Safe Hands."
Mr Peter Scott (Testimonial given by Claire - Daughter-in-law)
"Peter has had Care over the last six years with different companies and the Care provided has all been rubbish. We found that Carers were coming in and out and not paying any attention to Peter's needs. The family felt as though they had no support or anyone they could talk to. Since Right Trust Care have taken over, the Carers have been very supportive, of not only Peter's needs but also the family as a whole. They treat us how they themselves would want to be treated if in the same situation. The Carer's are more like family to us now."
Mr and Mrs Naseer
"The Carer's at Right Trust Care are very good, very helpful and very nice. They are very consistent with our Care and we have had no complaints since they started. They Care. Right Trust Care have made a big difference to our lives, we have previously been through three different Care Companies. In the space of two and a half years we have had 76 different Carer's. My husband, Mr Naseer suffers with Parkingson's Disease and Dementia, therefore it is imperative that we have consistent Carer's and Care. Right Trust Care is more like family to us, they are always there when we need them."
Mr and Mrs Tyler
"We have been Cared for by Vijay, the Deputy Manger of Right Trust Care, for over 3 years in the past. Unfortunately because of our circumstances, we have had to remain with another Care Agency now. However, the Carer's still come to visit us, and Vijay always brings my shopping and anything else that I need. He is a true friend to us, more like family, and we don't know what we would do without him."
Mrs Clifton ( Testimonial provided by Tony - Son)
"Right Trust Care, have always tried to accommodate my mother's needs, giving a high level of care in a friendly and engaging manner. The Carer's notes are comprehensive, easy to follow and they will point out any concerns they might have."
Ebony Hancock
"Your Carers are great ambassadors for you! My house was cleaned today to a level it hasn't been before, but to a level I would have, if I could without my ailments. Your team saw the processes that needed doing and took them in their stride. I feel amazing even though in pain....I have peace of mind which is so priceless nowadays. I've had so many nightmares with previous Carers and I can say my support you have put into place is second to none. My children are settled already with the Carers.....and even Marley the family dog loves my carers. I couldn't ask for any more from such a #righteous care company."
Mr Stracey Atchinson - (Testimonial given by family members)
As a family taking the decision to enlist the help of carers for Stracey was not one we took lightly. We found it difficult to hand over this responsibility to people we knew almost nothing about. Unfortunately our initial experience with home careers was not a pleasant one. We experienced high staff turnover, a lack of understanding of Stracey’s condition and reluctance to inform themselves about it, issues with time keeping, a general lack of interaction and most importantly care for Stracey and us as his family.
Luckily all of this changed when we were put in touch with the incredible people at Right Trust Care who, not only changed our opinion of home care but did such a professional and brilliant job of looking after Stracey that we are not too proud to admit was better than we could do ourselves.
Initially we were sceptical, our doubts stemming from our previous encounters with other care agencies but Right Trust Care were quick to put our minds at ease. The care that they provided was not only perfectly dignified but also empowering for him and his needs. Their care skills also extended to us, his family by ensuring detailed records of his care, sharing knowledge and expertise that we could implement ourselves and a willingness to work around our family needs at an incredibly difficult time. They also offered an understanding ear when times felt so hard we couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel; for this we will be eternally grateful.
In our First Meeting with Right Trust Care they pledged to treat us like family and they upheld this value throughout their time working with Stracey, going above and beyond, taking care of his physical and mental wellbeing and always strived to make things easier for us too. Right Trust Care are the gold standard of care and are what all care agencies should aspire to be like. They genuinely care for their clients and became part of our family as promised. Despite his memory issues Stracey still talks fondly of his carers from Right Trust Care which in its self is testimony to the positive impact they had of his life. We would not only recommend Right Trust Care we would advocate that all care givers have something to learn from these incredibly caring people who have a vocation for their work. Thank you for your time with our family the impact you had on our lives will stay with us forever.
Mrs Elise St John - (Testimonial given by daughter)
Up until April 2019 my mum had been using the same Care Agency for 5 years. During that time, some of the staff were nice but the majority of them were not. They came and did their jobs and left, some of them not even talking to my mum. Some even wanted to leave before their time because although they were supposed to be with mum, say until 9am, they would get a call from the office telling them they had to be elsewhere for 9am. How could they be in two places at the same time?
The Situation became too much, they were not meeting my mum's needs, so we decided to try another Care Agency. Right Trust Care was recommended to us by mum's Social Worker and from April 2019 up until the present time this has been the best decision ever.
We met Bev and Vijay who were warm and friendly and we discussed a package for mum's care. We accepted and a date was made to be introduced to the carer. Bev and Vijay visited us with the carer, Kath, and introduced her to us. She was so friendly and warm towards mum especially, we felt really comfortable.
Kath has been coming now to mum for a couple of months. Bev and Vijay keep in touch and Kath is always on time, gets on with mum and myself and she is very attentive to my mum's needs. So far everyone is very happy.
Service User Testimonial - Mr Mclaughlin
I have been receiving care from Right Trust Care since August 2019, before this I was a patient in hospital for almost 5 months. I had many health concerns and complex needs. The hospital staff did what they could but I wasn't getting any better, they had advised me to go into 24 hour residential care which was not something I wanted to do. I wanted to be as independent as possible and live at home where I was most comfortable. My discharge letter from hospital had stated:
'Discussions with Mr Mclaughlin have been had with regards to his next steps. Staff do not think he has rehab potential, which is in line with the Physios on the ward'
This was terrible to read, I felt as though I had no hope. I knew that I needed help. I contacted care agencies in the area to see if I could get some extra support. The hospital had advised me to have 3 calls per day. My friend also called around agencies for me, I remember he called Right Trust Care after looking at their CQC rating, which was outstanding in caring. He spoke to a manager, who was able to offer him some much needed reassurance, he then arranged for them to come out and meet me.
I agreed to start care after I had a meeting with the managers, Vijay and Bev. I felt very happy and reassured that they and their team would be able to support me the way I needed. All the paperwork was signed and my care plan put in place, I have the same consistent carer's daily. My carer's were able to help me do some exercises daily and I felt like I was making progress.
It's been just over 7 months with my care in place, from all the support and reassurance, along with the exercises, I have lost weight and am now walking again. I can walk to my bedroom to the lounge. I am still unsteady and I am continuing to practice everyday. The above statement from the hospital was wrong, even the Doctors, Nurses and Physios had given up on me, but with the right care and support, I finally feel like I am on the road to recovery.
Thank you so much, Right Trust Care.
Mr Mclaughlin was with right Trust Care for a total of 10 months, he then no longer required care after our team got him back on his feet. Now three years on, in 2023, he is back under our care again after some deterioration. We are hoping to have him back on his feet again soon.
